LUXURY SAUNA MADE OF PREMIUM WOOD
This combined sauna is made from carefully selected African woods Thermo Abachi and Thermo Ayous, which rank among the most suitable materials for demanding sauna environments. Both woods undergo controlled thermal modification at temperatures of approximately 180–215 °C, without the use of any chemical substances. During this process, sugars, resins and organic components that are commonly responsible for internal stress, odors and biological instability of wood are broken down.
The result is a material with significantly reduced moisture absorption, high dimensional stability and long-term resistance to extreme temperatures and humidity. Thanks to its open porous structure, the wood naturally regulates moisture in the space, supports a stable microclimate and contributes to even heat distribution throughout the sauna. The absence of resins ensures that the wood does not release odors even at high temperatures and remains hygienically clean.
Thermo Abachi is characterized by extremely low thermal conductivity, which means that benches, backrests and contact surfaces remain pleasant to the touch even at temperatures exceeding 90 °C. In its dark Thermo variant, the wood gains a deep, homogeneous shade that remains stable over time and does not require additional surface treatment. The use of solid boards in continuous lengths without joints further increases structural strength and emphasizes the technical and visual quality of the entire interior.
OKA DESIGN – COOPERATION WITH ARCHITECT ONDŘEJ KAMENICKÝ
The OKA Design collection was created in collaboration with architect Ondřej Kamenický, with whom HANSCRAFT has long cooperated on the development of premium wellness products. This partnership is behind the popular OKA and OKANDINAVIA ranges, where a strong sense for materials, proportions and calm, timeless design has proven its value.
Based on these experiences, the collaboration was also extended to the sauna category. For HANSCRAFT, Ondřej Kamenický designed combined saunas that naturally integrate Finnish sauna bathing with infrared technology, while maintaining a consistent design language of the OKA Design range. The result is a sauna that does not feel like a compromise between two systems, but as one coherent wellness unit.
INTERIOR, ATMOSPHERE AND COMPLETE EQUIPMENT
The sauna interior is designed with a focus on ergonomics, comfort and flexible use for up to two people. The double bench made of dark Thermo Abachi is complemented by a comfortable backrest and a lumbar physiotherapy panel with a soft pad, allowing targeted heating of the lower back and lumbar area. The low thermal conductivity of the wood ensures comfortable contact even at high operating temperatures.
A calm atmosphere is supported by a sophisticated ambient lighting system located under the benches, at the footrests and on the rear wall. The dominant interior feature is a starry ceiling with a black base, creating a visually calm and focused environment. Decorative wooden cladding of the heating panels with integrated lighting adds another layer of elegance to the interior. The entire space is enclosed by 6 mm tempered dark grey glass with black handles and hinges, combining safety, functionality and modern design.
The sauna includes a complete set of black HANSCRAFT sauna accessories, including a bucket with ladle, sand timer, thermometer and hygrometer. The sauna is therefore ready for immediate use without the need for any additional accessories.
TECHNOLOGY AND CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS
The OKA Fusion Synergy 2 sauna is designed as a combination of a classic Finnish sauna and a modern infrared sauna. Finnish sauna bathing is provided by HANSCRAFT electric heaters with an output of 4.5 kW, integrated into a heating system with a touch control panel. The intelligent WiFi controller allows convenient remote operation via the Smart Life mobile application and precise adjustment of operating parameters.
The infrared section is based on a modern infrared heating system with nano carbon film, ensuring even and energy-efficient heating of the space. The system uses infrared radiation in the IR-C range and includes a combination of multiple heating panels and a targeted lumbar physiotherapy panel. The total output of the infrared system is 2,190 W, enabling deep and targeted heating without overheating the air.
The construction is complemented by rear wall cladding made of thin black slate stone, which contributes to heat accumulation and serves as a strong aesthetic element. The lower and rear parts of the sauna are treated with Black Sauna Wax, increasing resistance to moisture and mechanical stress while unifying the dark appearance of the interior. The construction also includes an integrated floor designed for long-term operation and easy maintenance.
